I have been PMed a few times regarding adding different products to the site apart from T-Shirts. As we have alot of Cafepress shopowners here, their product range is actually quite broad generally.
What do people think and what kind of products? .. Photography, Mugs, Stickers?
One thing is that IRateThis is still a very new site, should we diversify so quickly?.. I mean we are nearly the 1000 mark for products and thats just for T-Shirts....
Anyways, just want your valuable opinions ...
Thanks,
Matt

I say keep the site clutter free by only allowing t shirt designs.

I agree that the site should have a focus but I am also thinking that if we expand our range, we will attract more varied visitors.
We will need to design the site in a view not to spread the site out too wide but more visitors is good :)
Anyways, more views are appreciated.

I think it would be best limited not to tshirts but to apparel only.
Most of the other stuff I find doesnt sell that well and also has a small markup, people can add a button to their cart as an impulse buy from my store but I don't want to spend much energy sending them to a button specifically.
btw, what is the policy on stuff like sweatshirts and hoodies right now, okay?

Just T-Shirts for the now Timewarp.
Newly submitted stuff apart from T-shirts will be declined.
We will add sweatshirts and stuff later so please hold on to those :)

The markup is always what you put on it. You can markup a button to $10, if you want to so the product has no bearing on the markup.
What sells well, or poorly, for you is not necessarily what sells well for anyone else.
In one of our shops the shirts are definitely NOT the best seller. Besides best selling product should not be a consideration here at all.
